CS Browser allows you to quickly copy file names and Amazon S3 object paths for selected files. This is useful when you need to paste object keys into a script, spreadsheet, support request, or another tool.
The advanced Copy.. menu is visible only while the Shift key is pressed. This keeps the main file menu compact while still providing quick access to the less common copy commands.
These commands copy text to the clipboard. They do not copy or move Amazon S3 objects. To copy or move objects between buckets or folders, use the regular Files, Copy, Files, Paste, Files, Copy to.., or Files, Move to.. commands.
How to copy file names and paths
1. Open the bucket and folder that contains the files.
2. Select one or more files in the file list.
3. Hold Shift and open the Files menu or right-click the selected files.
4. Open the Copy.. submenu and choose what you want to copy.

Available commands
Copy file name (Shift+F1) - copies file names relative to the current folder.
Copy file path (Shift+F2) - copies Amazon S3 object keys relative to the bucket.
Copy full file path (Shift+F3) - copies the bucket name plus Amazon S3 object key.
When multiple files are selected, CS Browser copies one value per line.
Examples
Assume you are browsing the Reports/2026/Q1/ folder in the sample-bucket bucket, and the selected file is Reports/2026/Q1/summary.pdf.
Copy file name copies the path relative to the current folder:
summary.pdf
Copy file path copies the object key relative to the bucket:
Reports/2026/Q1/summary.pdf
Copy full file path copies the bucket name and object key:
sample-bucket/Reports/2026/Q1/summary.pdf
